Ford Takes A Bold Stance On Greenhouse Gas Emissions in California
Ford has deployed a company-wide plan to communicate its story of environmental progress to change people’s perceptions and set the context for the new electric Ford Mustang Mach-E and Ford’s fleet of current and future electric vehicles.
Leaning into the company’s long-standing sustainability track record and its agreement with the California Air Resource Board (CARB) to lower greenhouse gas emissions, Ford launched “Built for Progress,” an ongoing public information campaign initially targeting California. With edgy creative, Ford is raising awareness of its commitment to stand with Governor Newsom and California, and, as the only US automaker aligned with CARB, is calling out competitors for their lack of support.
The campaign is featured in the Washington Post, Forbes, Politico Playbook, LA Times and more.
Ford continues these efforts in California in partnership with dealerships, NGOs and influentials, and will be expanding to additional ZEV (Zero Emission Vehicle) states in 2021.
